[Registration is now open] 7th InfoSyEnergy Open Symposium on January 16, 2026

Symposium theme:
“Toward Energy, Life Sciences, and the Creation of New Industries”

The InfoSyEnergy Research/Education Consortium and Academy of Energy and Informatics, Science Tokyo, are aiming to achieve carbon neutrality and smart society through approaches based on multi-disciplinary energy science and energy big data science, we continue to work toward swift solutions to the ever-changing and diversifying energy and environmental challenges from academic perspectives. At the InfoSyEnergy Open Symposium being held once a year, we report on our philosophy and recent activities, and we recognize it as a valuable opportunity to disseminate our messages to the world.
More than a year has passed since the Tokyo Institute of Technology and Tokyo Medical and Dental University merged on October 1, 2024, to form Institute of Science Tokyo. With a vision of a better future, we are introducing a new academic research system called “Visionary Initiatives (VI)” across Science Tokyo. This system aims to realize a better life, a better society, and a better Planet by having all faculty members integrate their own fields of expertise with other fields. To survive in today’s global society, which should be in a swamp of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, an entrepreneurial
mindset and skills are essential for developing and cultivating new value and successfully launching businesses in society. InfoSyEnergy aims to integrate the fields of energy science and informatics with the life sciences, bringing universities and companies together to create new values and industries, and to cultivate young talents who can realize this vision for the future. At this open symposium, we will have Professor Emeritus Yoshinao Mishima, former president of the Tokyo Institute of Technology and former chairman of the AMED, give a keynote speech from the perspective of engineering-medical collaboration, and we hope to deepen the discussion through a consecutive panel discussion, and indicate the future direction we should take.
