1.Admissions Policy

Tokyo Tech Academy of Energy and Informatics welcomes the following students:

  • Those who have basic academic ability in science and engineering, and can think and express themselves logically based on that ability
  • Those who understand ideas from a multifaceted perspective based on broad and deep knowledge
  • Those who have the language skills necessary for promoting research and technological development with a global perspective
  • Those who have the ability to solve fundamental problems using knowledge, skills, imagination, and creativity
  • Those who are willing to tackle the unknown, and are capable of developing their own global leadership competencies

2.Curriculum Policy

The Tokyo Tech Academy of Energy and Informatics program provides the following educational content, and enables students to successfully meet the degree policy requirements.

  • Energy Science: Students will systematically acquire scholarly knowledge related to multi-disciplinary energy science classified and reconstructed through analysis of knowledge and parallels pertaining to energy devices and systems
  • Big Data Science: Students will develop their aptitude to concretely synthesize AI analysis and data science as they creatively apply to their own energy-related areas of specialization
  • Social Design: Students will acquire knowledge and skills in social science disciplines covering business innovation, finance, marketing, policy theory, econometrics, etc. In addition, they will develop the ability to persuasively motivate and engage others by sharing the social and economic value of their own R&D and business designs
  • Practice: Students will become proficient in international communication skills, and be capable of exerting global leadership with the determination to bring about innovation and create a new society.

3.Degree Policy

In order to successfully complete the Tokyo Tech Academy of Energy and Informatics program, students must satisfy the credit requirements and demonstrate that they have developed the expertise, skills, and personal attributes required of the following individuals:

  • Those who are fully prepared to harness big data science to promote research and development in promising new energy devices and systems, design a groundbreaking energy society, and drive the forces of innovation
  • Multi-disciplinary Energy Science Scope: Those who have scholarly knowledge related to multi-disciplinary energy science classified and reconstructed through analysis of knowledge and parallels pertaining to energy devices and systems (profound expertise)
  • Big Data Science Scope: Those who possess the aptitude to concretely synthesize AI analysis and data science as they apply to their own energy-related areas of specialization (expertise and skills)
  • Social Design Scope: Those who have knowledge and skills in social science disciplines covering business innovation, finance, marketing, policy theory, econometrics, etc. In addition, they are equipped with the ability to persuasively motivate and engage others by sharing the social and economic value of their own R&D and business designs, and leadership competencies needed for success at a global level (expertise and quality as members of society)
