Annual Schedule of Selection
At Academy of Energy and Informatics (ISE), we implement two types of selections.
One is to pursue to be a “Registered student” (2 stage selection) .
And the other is to be a “Associate member student” which target for working and work experienced students.

Enrollment Briefing Session
The Enrollment Briefing Session session will be held online (via Zoom) twice. The sessions will be bilingual in Japanese and English, and the content will be the same.

Applying to ISE
Academy of Energy and Informatics (ISE) recruits ISE Candidate Students (ISE-C students) twice a year. After being approved as an ISE-C student, the students will be selected through a screening of documents and the research presentation in the “Energy Innovation Co-Creation Project” course in the 3rd and 4th quarter (or equivalent research presentation) for the main screening, and an interview if necessary. Students who pass these screening will be officially registered as ISE students.
ISE Candidate Students (ISE-C students) Fall applications
Applications will be accepted from October 9, 2025.
At Academy of Energy and Informatics, selection process to become ISE registered students is by 2 stage selection as written below.
- Selection of ISE Candidate students
- Selection from ISE-C students to a regular ISE student (Main examination)
※Selection to become official registered student is only from ISE candidate students

- Application Period: October 9 (Thu) – October 31 (Fri), 2025, by 5:00 p.m. (strict deadline)

Complete the Form A (Excel) and Form B (Word) files.
In addition to the two files, please create a PDF file with your faculty advisor’s signature
Upload the three files in the box provided in the application guide.

Additional recruitment
ISE Associate-member Students (Adult students)
For working and work-experienced students, we established the Associate-member students system in 2022.
we will recruit and select students for registration as “Associate-member students” from October 2025.
If you wish to apply, please submit your application by the deadline.
Application period
- From Friday, August 1, 2025 to Friday, September 5, 2025 at 17:00 (strict deadline)
Eligibility
- Adult students enrolled in any graduate programs at Science Tokyo.
(Master’s degree program, Professional master’s degree program and Doctoral degree program)
※Definition of an Adult Student
①Currently be employed
（receiving salary, wages, remuneration or other ordinary income)
②Retired from a job that earns salary, wages, remuneration, or other ordinary income
③Housewives or Househusbands
Affiliation
- Students will be registered starting from October 2025.
Please select and apply for either of the following programs
１．InfoSyEnergy Special Certificate Program for adult students
Participate in all events and activities designated by Academy of Energy and Informatics, and the aim to obtain the program certificate by meeting the required evaluation criteria.
※ To obtain the program certificate, participants must attend at least five of the following events and submit a destinated report.
２．InfoSyEnergy Free Participation Program for adult students
Select and participate in events and activities of your choice to enhance skills.
※Please note that no certificate will be issued.

・InfoSyEnergy Workshop for Energy Research（held once a year）— scheduled for the end of July
・InfoSyEnergy Workshop for Education and Research Collaboration （held once a year）— scheduled for the end of September
・InfoSyEnergy Public Symposiums (held once a year) — scheduled for January
・InfoSyEnergy Symposiums with special collaborations (held Irregular) —not scheduled for this year
・Energy and informatics international forum (held once a year, online participation only) — scheduled for December.
