Annual Schedule of Selection
At Academy of Energy and Informatics (ISE), we implement two types of selections.
One is to pursue to be a “Registered student” (2 stage selection) .
And the other is to be a “Associate member student” which target for working and work experienced students.

Applying to ISE
Academy of Energy and Informatics (ISE) recruits ISE Candidate Students (ISE-C students) twice a year. After being approved as an ISE-C student, the students will be selected through a screening of documents and the research presentation in the “Energy Innovation Co-Creation Project” course in the 3rd and 4th quarter (or equivalent research presentation) for the main screening, and an interview if necessary. Students who pass these screening will be officially registered as ISE students.
ISE Candidate Students (ISE-C students) Spring applications
At Academy of Energy and Informatics, selection process to become ISE registered students is by 2 stage selection as written below.
- Selection of ISE Candidate students
- Selection from ISE-C students to a regular ISE student (Main examination)
※Selection to become official registered student is only from ISE candidate students

- April 9 2025 (Wed) 13:30 to May 7 2025 (Wed) 17:00 sharp

・Master’s degree program students and Professional Master’s degree program students
・Doctoral degree program students
How to apply
Complete the Form A (Excel) and Form B (Word) files.
In addition to the two files, please create a PDF file with your faculty advisor’s signature
Please submit your application by email to the Management Office by the deadline.
Title of email: Application for ISE Candidate Student (Your Name)
There are three files to be submitted.
1. Form A (Excel)
2. Form B (Word)
3. Form A and Form B combined as one PDF file (with your academic supervisor’s signature)

As a regular student, you are eligible to take courses offered by ISE and receive financial support. For more information, please click here.
ISE Associate-member Students (Adult students)
For working and work experienced students, we have established the Associate-member students system in 2022.
This time we will recruit and select students for registration as “Associate-member students” from August 2024.
If you wish to apply, please submit by deadline.

- Adult students who belong to the TITECH’s graduate programs of all graduate schools
(Master’s degree program, Professional master’s degree program and Doctoral degree program)
※An Adult student is a student who falls into one of the following categories
①Those who are currently be employed
（Those who are currently working at a job that earn salary, wages, remuneration or other ordinary income)
②Those who have already retired from a job that earns salary, wages, remuneration, or other ordinary income
③Housewives and Househusbands

- Registration as “Associate-member students” from August 2024.
Please select and apply for either of the following programs
１．InfoSyEnergy Special Certificate Program for adult students
Participate in all events and other activities designated by Tokyo Tech Academy of Energy and
Informatics, and obtain the program certificate with the required grades
※ To obtain a program certificate, participants must attend at least five of the following events and submit report
２．InfoSyEnergy Free Participation Program for adult students
Select and participate in events and other activities of your choice to improve your skills.
※No Certificate
<Events and other activities organized by the InfoSyEnergy Research and Education Consortium>
・InfoSyEnergy Workshop for Energy Research（about once a year）— will be held around the end of July this year
・InfoSyEnergy Workshop for Education and Research Collaboration（about once a year）— will be held around the end of September this year
・InfoSyEnergy Public Symposiums （about once a year) — plan to be held around January this year
・InfoSyEnergy Symposiums with special collaborations (Irregular) —No plan to be held this year
・Energy and informatics international forum (once a year）Online participation only — Not available to join this year due to a change in the implementation method
